The 2+2+2 Applied Engineering Technology (AET) Program at Delaware County Community College (DCCC) offers high school students the opportunity to earn 16 college credits and be dually enrolled while in high school and carry those credits into DCCC, Community College of Philadelphia (CCP), or Montgomery County Community College (MCCC). Upon continuing at DCCC, students can either earn a certificate or work toward the associate degree in one of seven majors in the AET Program. DCCC offers Fast Track Programs in Process Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting and Design, and Machine Operations. These programs take selected qualified high school students during their senior year and allow them to complete a Certificate of Competency in either discipline. Upon graduation, students receive their high school diploma and a recognized industry credential allowing them to enter the workforce immediately. At the conclusion of the program, graduates are exposed to area employers and can be eligible for immediate employment with the option of continuing their education part-time and continuing in the pathway.   Upon completion, students can enter any one of several  four-year degree  2+2+2 partner institutions.  The pathways program is supported by over 30 area companies who offer plant tours. The DCCC Co-op/ Internship Office also offers job shadowing opportunities for students who wish to expand and enhance their knowledge and perception of targeted career possibilities.
